It’s happening on November 2-3 at the Sunflower Theater – Tayyouneh

“Meetings Around Children’s Theater” is a 2-day platform putting the accent on the Children’s Theater and featuring 4 exciting new plays, as well as panels and discussions with professionals in Media, Education and Theater.

The platform will take place at the Sunflower Theater and will launch the performance phase of KHAYAL’s Magic Box - Soundouk El Ferje initiative to encourage more young Lebanese artists to get creatively involved in Children’s Theater. 

The platform’s inauguration will be held in the presence of HE Ambassador Angelina Eichhorst, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, on November 2, at 7:00 p.m. and will feature the premiere of “Le Bal des Rêves” (Ball of Dreams) - by invitation only. 

“Le Bal des Rêves” is a joint Lebanese-French production by KHAYAL and Subito Presto about the power of dreams to unite people and reveal new horizons, especially in a society stagnated by new entertainment technologies.  (All audiences starting 8 years old, in French with some Arabic dialogs). The play will be staged until November 20 (Box office shows: Nov 9, 10, 16, 17 @ 7 pm)

Within KHAYAL’s Magic Box - Soundouk El Ferje initiative, a jury awarded production grants to 3 projects by Lebanese artists. Their plays will premiere at “Meetings Around Children’s Theater”:

11:00 a.m. – “Tétine…Bye!” by Kholoud Nasser (some Arabic words, ages: 1-4 years)

4:00 p.m. – “Who Will Buy My Roses?” by Hussein Nakhal (in Arabic, ages: starting 6 years)

7:00 p.m. – “An Abaya to Remember” by Rooa Bzeih and Jad Hakawati (in Arabic, ages: starting 6 years)

Explore perspectives for Children’s Theater in the fields of education and media with experts and colleagues; misconceptions and misrepresentations, pedagogic applications and expectations, and more.

This is the first event of this scale and scope in Lebanon, bringing together artists, educators and journalists to create better understanding and more effective collaboration in Children’s Theater.

"لقاءات صندوق الفرجة لمسرح الأطفال"

مسرحيات جديدة وحلقات نقاش

على مسرح دوار الشمس 

في  2 و3 تشرين الثاني، 2012

تتضمّن "لقاءات صندوق الفرجة لمسرح الأطفال" عروضًا أولى لأربع مسرحيات جديدة للأطفال من مختلف الأعمار (اعتباراً من عمر السنة)، بالإضافة إلى حوارات وحلقات نقاش مع إعلاميين وتربويّين وفنّانين وممثلين عن مؤسّسات ثقافية، وبمشاركة ممثّلين عن آسيتاج-السويد (المؤسسة العالمية لمسرح الأطفال والشباب)، جامعًا بذلك عدّة جهات معنية بمسرح الأطفال من أجل تبادل الأفكار حول كيفية تطوير هذا النوع الفني في لبنان وتفعيله.  

تشكّل هذه اللقاءات انطلاق المرحلة التطبيقية من مشروع "صندوق الفرجة" الذي يهدف إلى تشجيع الفنانين اللبنانيين الشباب على المشاركة الإبداعية في مسرح الأطفال.

تمّ ضمن هذا المشروع إنتاج ثلاث مسرحيات جديدة للأطفال لفئات عمرية مختلفة، من خلال منح أعطيت لفنانين شباب اختيرت مشاريعهم من قبل لجنة تحكيم متخصّصة. وتضمنت هذه المنح دعمًا مادّيا وإداريَا وتقنيَا. 

بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم إنتاج مسرحية تحت عنوان "متل الحلم"، وهي عمل مشترك لجمعية خيال وسوبيتو برستو (فرنسا) حول دورعالم الأحلام والذكريات في دوّامة الواقع الاستهلاكي.

يليها افتتاح مسرحية "متل الحلم" – دعوات فقط 
إخراج كريم دكروب، كوريغرافيا لوتشيا كاربوني، من انتاج مشترك لبناني فرنسي (جمعية خيال – لبنان، مجموعة سوبيتو برستو – فرنسا) // ابتداء من 8 سنوات
